  12. To my Nieces, Nephews, and their families. Praying for you during this very difficult time and wishing you all comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Sis Ulin was a strong woman who was loving and fiercely protective of those she loved and cared for. She rode the waves of life’s trials and tribulations and harnessed strength, determination and most of all compassion that she freely shared with all.
I have cherished memories of you Sis that will live on in my heart forever including you wiping away my tears as a little girl in Mahaica when I was teased by the older ones (anyone remember “Bhayee Dankey”?). To protect me, she would take me to her place and I would sit under the coconut tree & watch her do her chores. (I’m sure she moved at lightning speed & I swear she got her through her chores before I was even done crying!)
Another time in Murray Street, I got in trouble. She sat with me on the steps & we talked as I cried. She gave me the advice to “like who I like but get my education first“. I was a teenager but she listened and made me feel understood, respected, and mattered as a person. Thank you Sis Ulin.
God rest your Soul. Heaven awaits.

  13. Although life and death are inseparable, it pains to lose a sister. We, the siblings of Ulin, our eldest sister, take comfort in knowing that she is with Lord Krishna and the rest of her departed ones.
To the children, grand children and others, know that you are never alone.
God is with you, holding you, comforting you and most of all loving you at this time of our grief.
May her soul rest in peace. Jai Shree Krishna.
