  22. Lord Sri Krishna is the energy that burns in the Sun, and the mysterious force of the invisible wind that sustains us with the breath of life. He permeates all beings that they may not die; but when they do die, He is there with open, loving arms to receive their soul. May that Lord Sri Krishna receive the soul of Cha Cha Rohit in Divine embrace and grant him Moksha.

  56. The children of the late Vincent and Doreen Deane were saddened to hear of the passing of Pandit Rohit Persaud. Although not a blood relative, Uncle Biram, as he was known to us, was very much a special part of our family. Mr. Persaud and our grandparents, Joseph and Irene Deane were very good neighbors when they lived on Lamaha Street in Georgetown. In fact, our grandfather was Pandit’s “Big Brother” at Pandit’s wedding. Over the years, our parents were in frequent communication with Pandit, with our mom relishing the handwritten letters and notes they received from him. He shared his wisdom and his insights and he offered his advice freely. His kindness and humility were evident in his words.

Our heartfelt condolences are extended to Pandit’s entire family as you go through this difficult time. May the wonderful memories you share brighten your darkest days and may he rest in peace.
